Pounce powder or Charcoal powders can be affixed-sealed the powder lines down with spray shellac, hair spray or a fast dry frog juice so your lines don't rub off.

Step 4. Apply Pattern

Apply your pattern in reverse or mirrored if needed.  Cut-out your design chip areas with sharp art knife x-acto and peel the mask in the smallest area first.

If asphaltum varnish peels-up with the mask, don't worry, simply touch any missing asphaltum that pops off by brush.
